Ghost Mode

Ghost Mode can also be used in Smart Viewer to make it click-through. This lets you interact with the app behind it while keeping your reference visible.

Overlay Toolbar

The toolbar displayed at the top of the Smart Viewer provides the following actions:

  • Reset — Reset zoom/pan
  • Copy — Copy image to clipboard
  • Save — Save as file
  • Delete — Delete card

Depending on the card type, the toolbar can also expose card-specific actions such as palette extraction from image cards or color value format controls for palette cards.

Info Panel

View detailed information about a card in the Smart Viewer:

  • EXIF data — Camera info, shooting settings
  • File size — Original file size
  • Date — Creation date, modification date

Palette Cards in Smart Viewer

Palette cards open in Smart Viewer as a color-focused layout rather than a media preview.

What you can do

  • inspect each color in a clean segmented layout
  • switch value format between HEX, RGB, and HSL
  • click a displayed value to copy it
  • review multi-color palettes in one place without opening a separate editor

Value Labels

Palette value labels are shown as bottom-aligned bars inside each color segment, making the value easier to read without covering too much of the color itself.

To learn more about palette-specific workflows, see Palette Cards.

Image Transforms

Quickly edit images directly in the Smart Viewer:

Cmd + HFlip horizontal
Cmd + JFlip vertical

Image Palette Extraction

When viewing an image card, you can use the Smart Viewer toolbar to extract the image’s dominant colors.

This opens a compact palette tray where you can:

  • copy individual extracted colors
  • save the extracted set as a new palette card

For the full workflow, see Palette Extraction.

Maximize/Restore

You can maximize the Smart Viewer to view references in full screen, then restore it back to its original size. The panel’s position and size are automatically remembered.
