Canvas

The canvas is a mode where you can freely arrange and organize your references across an infinite space. Press Cmd + Shift + C to switch from the sidebar to canvas mode.

Selection

Card Operations

Move

Select a card and drag to move it freely. While moving, smart guides (snap lines) appear to help you align with other cards.

Resize

Drag the handles on the corners or edges of a card to resize it. Smart guides appear to help match the size or position of nearby cards.

Rotate

Hold Cmd and drag the edge of a card to rotate it.

Bring to Front

Bring the selected card to the front so it appears on top of other cards.

Lock/Unlock

Press Cmd + L to lock a card and prevent accidental movement or modification.

Image Editing

  • Crop — Press Cmd + P to crop an image.
  • Flip — Press Cmd + H to flip horizontally, Cmd + J to flip vertically.
  • Grayscale — Press Ctrl + G to toggle grayscale mode.

Comments

Press Cmd + M to add a comment to the selected card or to an empty area on the canvas.

Reset Transform

To revert a card with rotation, resizing, or cropping back to its original state, select Reset Transform from the right-click menu.

Opacity Control

You can adjust the opacity of the entire canvas.

Ghost Mode

Press Cmd + Shift + G to make the canvas click-through, allowing you to interact with apps behind it while keeping your references visible.

Canvas Lock

Press Cmd + L to lock the entire canvas and block all input. This prevents accidental changes when your references are in a fixed layout.

Undo/Redo

You can undo or redo actions such as moving, adding, or deleting cards on the canvas.

State Persistence

The canvas offset, zoom level, opacity, and lock state are automatically saved and restored when you reopen the canvas.
