Installation Guide

Before you install — a quick heads up

When you first open Zenboard, macOS may show a warning like this:

“'Zenboard' cannot be opened because Apple cannot verify it.”

This is because Zenboard isn't signed with an official Apple Developer certificate yet — not because the app is harmful or contains malware.

1

Launch and Get Blocked

Drag Zenboard to your Applications folder and open it. When the error message appears, just click Done or OK.

2

Go to System Settings

Open System Settings and navigate to Privacy & Security.

Scroll down to the Security section. You'll see:

"Zenboard" was blocked...Open Anyway
3

Confirm One Last Time

After clicking "Open Anyway", use your password/Touch ID, and when the final pop-up appears, click Open Anyway (or Open). That's it! You won't have to do this ever again.

You're All Set!

Zenboard is now ready to use. Welcome to your new creative workspace!

Legacy macOS (Before Sequoia)

If you are on an older version of macOS, you can still use the traditional method: Right-click Zenboard.app in your Applications folder and select Open.
